Moishe celebrates 86th Birthday with Moishe Band

James Gray Gallery Unwraps Morris Squire's Moishism Retrospective

Morris B. Squire will be the highlighted artist at the James Gray Gallery in Bergamot Station for the holiday season. The opening night will take place Saturday November 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Squire is a modern Pop Artist who divides his time between his homes in Santa Barbara, Israel and Cambodia. As a practitioner in Administrative Psychiatry over five decades, he simultaneously produced art during those long and arduous years. With the philosophy of forming his work into an art form, he was able to foster a unique vision applying his life experiences in his artwork.

Morris B. Squire is the artist and creative engine behind the Morris B. Squire Art Foundation located in Santa Barbara, CA. As the mastermind of "Moishism", the revolutionary and modern stylistic trend will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the James Gray Gallery.

Moishism is a 22nd century modern art movement pioneered by Morris B. Squire that is metamorphosizing American painting and sculpture through its emphasis of strong lines over representational or realistic impressions. The movement seeks to express the meaning of following your instinctual primal and emotional experiences that become a subjected art form.

The proceeds from the sales of Morris Squire's Holiday James Gray Exhibition will benefit the following organizations: The Mental Health Association of SB, The Scholarship Fund of SB, Art From Scrap, Hillel at UCSB , and the Moishe Houses. Squire is also the founder of the Moishe House and international non-profit organization that consists of a series of community centers for the support of young Jewish adults.
